ABOUT R and B Farms
R and B Farms Inc, is like a seed bomb: combining modern and ancient farming techniques for aquaponics, deep water culture and hydroponics to produce organic fruits and vegetables in an urban setting of West Philadelphia's community and beyond.
With aquaponics, hydroponics and deep water culture as the heart of our urban farm, it allows for a continuous harvest of organic produce year around. R and B Farms can supply local restaurants and grocery stores with fresh, organic vegetables within a 7-10 mile radius of within Philadelphia county. Working with area chefs keeps the demand for various seasonal produce and “special” selection produce competitive and market ready. It also allows for all extra harvests to be donated to the farms nonprofit food bank, Bountiful Baskets. A CSA(Community Supported Agriculture) hub for SNAP Box, and pop up farmers markets within West Philadelphia, it will supply seniors, Veterans and others in need with free, healthy produce and nutrition classes.
